Expired Food Selling Like Hotcakes

To cut down on food wastage, a one-of-its-kind supermarket, WeFood, in Denmark sells food that people are inclined to throw it down the dumpster. Dry products and frozen goods that have expired and household goods that are either slightly imperfect or damaged, occupy the shelves of WeFood. Prices are 30 to 50 percent cheaper as compared to other supermarkets. Operated by volunteers, profits will go into charity projects in developing countries, and so far, the store has been a hit with the locals as queues spill out to the store’s sidewalk.
