Robots are getting very popular. First, they’re appearing in restaurants and next, they’ll be making a presence in hotels. Savioke, a US company that aims to have robots in hotels across the country, has been given a capital of US$15million. Savioke’s robot, better known as Relay, is designed to do simple tasks such as delivering necessities to guests. Hotel staffs simply need to key in the room number on its touch screen system and Relay would be on its way. Relay’s way of communication is through typed messages and the use of Wi-fi and 3-D cameras for navigation. Many hoteliers have said that staffing and energy costs can be cut down thanks to automation technology. Learn more here: http://lat.ms/1nSfUfK
