Privé Group recently launched their latest flagship restaurant: EMPRESS at Asian Civilization Museum. This new restaurant is one of the few Chinese restaurants with al fresco seating overlooking boat quay, giving guest a beautiful view of the city’s skyline. Taking traditional Chinese food and placing it into a modern dining concept, Empress provides the same comfort Chinese food in an intimate, cozy and casual setting.
One of the signature dishes, the Triple Roast Platter – consisting of Crackling Roast pork, EMPRESS Char Siew and EMPRESS Sweet & Sticky Pork Ribs – is sweet, crunchy, juicy and tender. A succulent King Prawn Dumpling is presented together with the flavorful Supreme Broth; a creation by Chef Ricky Leung. Giving an extra crunch to the usual Fried Rice, Fried Brown Rice Medley includes Hon Shimeji Mushrooms, Asparagus, Goji Berries and Pine nuts, making it a healthy option as well.
EMPRESS serves up an impressive variety of desserts that uses local and Chinese flavours, presenting it in western style plating. The Cempedak Crème Brulee is recommended to Cempedak lovers, the sweetness in the crème brulee balances out the strong taste of Cempedak. A twist to the popular sesame dessert, the Peanut-Coated Black Sesame ‘Mochi’ Balls is served with Black Sesame Sponge and Ice Cream along with Mochi balls to give a variety of textures. Lastly, the red bean pancake is coated with sesame seeds, deep fried and served with a ‘potong’ Red Bean Popsicle.
