Food delivery services watch out. UberEats is here and will see the launch of it, tentatively in March, in 10 US cities. UberEats takes the form of a mobile app and users simply order their meals from restaurants, and food will be delivered by an Uber driver. In Toronto, Uber has already collaborated with more than 100 restaurants for all-day food delivery. Uber may appear new in this field, but what gives them an edge will be its logistical technology. According to Uber, the company will estimate how long it takes for the food to be prepared and then assign a driver within that area to pick it up when ready. Should there be multiple food orders within the same area, Uber will coordinate to have a single driver to pick and deliver all of them.
