Margarita Forés Is Asia’s Best Female Chef 2016

In 2014, it was Lanshu Chen of Le Mout Restaurant, Taiwan. In 2015, it was Vicky Lau of Tate Dining Room, Hong Kong. In 2016, Asia’s best female chef award goes to Margarita Forés of Lusso. Forés will receive the prestigious award on 29th February at the fourth annual Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants award ceremony, hosted at the W Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants is sponsored by fine-dining waters S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. The award is voted by over 300 industry chefs in the region and has been honouring exceptional female chefs since 2013. Forés impresses because of her passion for Italian and Filipino cuisine. To date, she owns a group of restaurants and has also a culinary institution, Casa Artusi Philippines that teaches students on the fundaments of Italian cuisine.
