Instead of competing with the boom of online rental lodgings, Ascott has chosen the more peaceful way of riding on their competitors’ success. Last year, Ascott collaborated with Tujia, a holiday rental apartment site, which is also best known as China’s Airbnb. This marketing move according to Ascott North Asia managing director Kevin Goh benefits both parties.
