Chianti Wine Tasting by Consorzio Vino Chianti Returning to Asia for the 4th time, Consorzio Vino Chianti sets foot in Singapore, bringing wine lovers, trade partners and media guests together to experience the wines from Chianti, Italy.

Managed and co-ordinated by Felicitas Global, Chianti Wine Asia tour is organised by three different Consortia. Consorizo Chianti Colli Florentini, established in 1994, represents 27 wine-making estates. The wines in this area are very well clanked, slightly tannic and carry fresh and fruity notes.

The second, Consorzio Chianti Colli Senesi, founded in 1977, has 300 members. Depending on the soil and microclimate in which the Sangiovese grape is grown, the structures and aromas are different, allowing it to express itself in various ways. The last, Chianti Rufina dates back to 1980 with 20 wine-making estates, with the microclimate and local soil providing elegant wines with strong personalities.

The tour ended in Singapore on 3rd December 2015 with a full day of Business meetings and a seminar held by newly-crowned Master of Wine Tan Ying Hsien and Edwin Soon, wine journalist and author of the book Pairing Wine with Asian Food. The day concluded with a walk-around tasting for sector operators and the public. To view snapshots of the event, head to their Facebook page at https://goo.gl/BeyJeE
