As if our food and beverage scene isn’t exciting enough, Singapore’s Michelin guide will be launched next year. The guide is like a bible for all food aficionados and is currently available in 24 countries such as London, Paris and Rome. It will be a bilingual version, like Japan and Hong Kong ones, and it’ll cover not just celebrity and fine dining restaurants, but hawker centres too. It is trusted by many because of anonymous inspectors who pose like customers. Also, these inspectors before becoming part of the Michelin’s rating team have to undergo rigorous training that requires more than just living and breathing food. The inspectors will appraise the dining establishments based on five considerations which include the cost and product quality. To find out more, visit
