Open Farm Community Launches First-ever Social Market, A Convivial Weekend Farmer's Market

Revolutionary community food project, Open Farm Community (OFC) will turn their grounds in to a bustling marketplace with its first-ever Social Market from Saturday, 28 November 2015 from 9.00am to 2.30pm, and again on Sunday, 29 November 2015 from 9.00am to 4.00pm, to encourage “citysumers” to develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with their food.

The Social Market will consist of approximately 25 vendors, including Edible Garden City; Expect to see a selection of house plants, sweet and sticky honey, and even homemade jams. And of course, there are prepared and ready to eat treats, such as cold cuts by locally based delicatessen Casse-Croûte, refreshing, vegan friendly acai bowls by Selva Foods that are packed full of nutrients, and Asia’s first gourmet food truck, Kerbside Gourmet. Fine artisans such as Momoco, round out the festive market with beautifully homemade jams of familiar flavours such as Jackfruit and Lap Cheong.
