Paris to Welcome Its First 'Floating Hotel' on Converted Catamaran Paris will soon have its first major "floating hotel" – a converted catamaran with 58 rooms and a swimming pool on the river Seine. Numerous "bateaux mouches" – sightseeing boats – already traverse the river in central Paris and the capital has several waterborne restaurants.

Smaller two-cabin hotel boats exist while bigger vessels, such as the 60-metre VIP Paris, come in for a night cruise but moor outside the capital. The €11 million (£7.8 million) floating hotel will welcome its first guests next Spring, costing around €160 for a bedroom or €400 for a suite. Read more at http://goo.gl/F197By
