Celebrating Chefs Worldwide

International Chefs Day falls on October 20 annually, and this year’s presiding theme is “Healthy Kids - Healthy Future”. This international observance is considered to be a sincere appreciation as well as a celebration of all professional chefs around the world. It was established under the initiative of the World Association of Chef's Societies back in 2004.
With this year’s theme, WorldChefs plans to engage with local schools, nursery schools or kindergartens in chefs’ local communities and have fun with young children, while teaching them about healthy eating. In celebration of this special day, the Penang Chefs’ Association will be cooking for at least 200 invited children from orphanages, kindergartens/nurseries and primary schools. Held on Saturday, 17 October 2015, the event will be held at Taman Perbandaran (aka Youth Park), from 8.30am to 12 noon.
