Chef and Restaurateur Paul Prudhomme, known for popularizing Creole cuisine during the 1980’s, has died on October 8th, 2015 at the age of 75, following an illness.
Prudhomme was a star chef, known internationally for introducing blackened redfish into American culture. He’s also been credited with giving us the turducken, which, if you couldn’t tell by the name, is a completely overwhelming poultry dish consisting of a chicken, stuffed inside a duck, stuffed inside a turkey. He also wrote nine cookbooks, and sold a line of spices, based on demand for the secrets of his seasonings. He’s been featured on multiple television shows, and is in the Culinary Hall of Fame.
