A new site called Josephine aims to connect home cooks with hungry customers. The premise behind Josephine is simple. Potential customers go online to peruse meals cooked by a stable of vetted home cooks on any given day of the week. Each cook posts a description of the meal, along with a photo, and the price per plate, ranging anywhere from $7 to $13. If you want a meal, just click to reserve a plate, and then use a credit card to pay ahead. Once the reservation is complete, Josephine sends you the cook’s home address.
Although this service is only currently available in the United States, it sure is a viable business proposal for budding home chefs who wish to spread their love for food through personally catering their cooking services for home parties.
