Glenfiddich Launches Singapore Anniversary Edition 50 Year Old In celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, Glenfiddich has unveiled a limited edition bottling – the Singapore Anniversary Edition 50 Year Old. The whisky was showcased at a dinner event at South Beach Club featuring a Singapore-themed menu by Chef Janice Wong.

Glenfiddich company director, Peter Gordon, was on hand to introduce the Singapore Anniversary Edition and to share the distillery’s long-standing connection with the country. Gordon, who represents the fifth generation of his family to run the company, finalised plans for the commemorative release after a meeting with President Tony Tan during the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Singapore Anniversary Edition was drawn from two 50-year-old casks which spent an additional six months marrying in an American oak barrel. The result is a vibrant whisky that offers marmalade and vanilla toffee notes with fascinating aromatic herbs and light smoke present throughout.

The five bottles in this release were hand-blown and come adorned with silverwork depicting the national flowers of Singapore and Scotland. Priced at £30,000 (approximately S$65,780), each bottle is accompanied by a unique art piece from a Singapore-based artist.
