Experts warn that hospitality sector will take the brunt of the Mers outbreak

With over 50,000 tourists cancelling trips to South Korea in the wake of the Mers outbreak, experts are concerned that the aviation and hospitality sectors will be the hardest hit. However, in spite of Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong’s ominous warning that Singapore’s first Mers case is “just a matter of time”, experts believe that the outbreak is unlikely to reach the level of the 2003 Sars epidemic, and there is no cause for panic at this present time.
