2015’s Decanter World Wine Awards saw Spain increasing its profile as a rising force in wine by taking home the trophy for Red Bordeaux varietals over £15, further exemplifying the country’s growing reputations for quality. In Europe, Bordeaux also showed signs of recovery after Chateau Brown clinched the award for White blend over £15 and Slovenia also won a victory for lesser known wine regions, winning the Sweet wine over £15 category.
