Jawdat Ibrahim, owner of Abu Ghosh, a restaurant set in Israel is tired of the damage smartphones have caused to the pure enjoyment of dining experiences. As technology advances, diners are widely seen to be using their mobile phones over meals instead of focusing on the food served to them. In order to battle against this phenomenon, Ibrahim has decided to offer a 50 percent discount for diners simply by switching off their mobile phones. Although not the first to create such an offer, it may just be enough to get diners to kick off the habit of using mobile phones over meals.
