Chef Adrillana Serves Up A Storm At Nest at One Farrer!

Chef Adrillana Serves Up A Storm At Nest at One Farrer! Southeast Asian cuisine, with its many influences and types of cooking techniques, is great to explore, especially when you consider just how much great and regionally sourced ingredients there are available in the market. And when you have a great chef helming these ingredients to curate a menu that's fit for a king, then you're in for an exciting experience.

So was the situation this week with Chef Michelle Adrillana, who curated a four-hands dinner with One Farrer Hotel's Executive Chef Marcus Tan, in collaboration with the World Gourmet Summit. Up in the Nest, the hotel's premier villas and private dining concept, Chef Adrillana served a special 9-course meal that incorporated the best of what the Philippines have to offer, and with a team behind her, Chef Adrillana and Chef Tan were able to create and serve up local flavours elevated and pushed up to beautiful, high gourmet standards. Of course, this is something Chef Adrillana has always been keen to showcase: her travels across the world as a gourmet  chef that has introduced thousands to the wonders of Filipino food, from China to Bahrain, and always with new innovative ideas that have diners reaching out with their forks for more.

Guests marvelled at the delicious dishes that were available, such as escargot with laksa butter, chef's own personal experimentation with bakwa that she made wth fried garlic adlai, sunny-side up quail eggs and pineapple vinegar, and Chef's own ube kaya accompanied by ube tart and cheesecake.
The night culminated with smiles and great conversations all around, with Chef Adrillana receiving a commemorative plate for her participation in the event at the end of the night.
