Save F&B Singapore Publishes Statistics that Reveal That There is Still Much To Be Done

Save F&B Singapore Publishes Statistics that Reveal That There is Still Much To Be Done "We are ready to face the hard truth, but we are not ready to give up."

The Facebook page Save F&B SG began their statement this week with the above quote when revealing the results of a survey that was done by 639 F&B businesses representing 1,941 outlets and accounting for 24,387 jobs,  completed in under 48hrs.

The results, revealed in pictorials, showed some truly disturbing facts about the current state of F&B, including some alarming percentages that really drive home the issues that plague F&B Singapore now. 21% of F&B businesses, for example, are in the process of winding down, and 67% of the businesses in questions would close in 1-6 months should another round of closures occur affecting F&B businesses. 80% of business operators surveyed have suffered negative revenue of 75% or more, just for the months of May to June 2021 alone.

The Save F&B SG page concluded the results with a list of recommendations to help boost the businesses of restaurants and F&B establishments, including re-opening businesses and letting them play music and the time period of alcohol sales extended to 12am instead of the current policies, along with accelerating Job Support and Rental Relief.
