Unsung Heroes Initiative Three Showcasing Our Love for Healthcare Professionals Out There! Back by popular demand, the World Gourmet Summit is presenting the 3rd edition of Unsung Heroes'.This time, the team is working with restaurants to create nourishing meals, pack them into bento boxes, and send them to the frontline fighters of the COVID-19, the staff members working at the Metta Welfare Association,live-in nurses who watch over their Home residents 24/7, to celebrate their contribution in conjunction with Singapore's Nurses' Day on the 1st  of August, which marks the beginning of the development of nursing in Singapore. 


With the help of nine establishments as well as partners such as USA Rice, USA potatoes, Angliss Singapore, Biopak Packaging and Indoguna Singapore, bentos will be sent from the nine establishments from the 2nd of August to the 13th of August, over a period of 9 days, showcasing gourmet gastromony that each of the establishments specialise in that showcase our appreciate for healthcare professionals during this time of need, especially with recent spikes and the rise of cases. 



“Unsung Heroes would be nothing without the help of our partners, be it restaurants/establishments creating the food or the companies that are sponsoring ingredients," said Mr Peter Knipp of Peter Knipp Holdings, the company organising the World Gourmet Summit. “The endeavours of the F&B and hospitality sector to help the ones who need it the most during this pandemic has been heartening, and we did our part last year working with our restaurant partners to feed healthcare professionals thanks to the Unsung Heroes initiative, and we will continue to do so again should the need arise!”
