Getting That Gudsht in Town
A new watering hole has opened up in the heart of town, and it’s the perfect place for you and your friends to chill after a day of shopping.
Gudsht’s flagship branch has opened at Cathay Cineleisure and features the range of the bottled cocktails that the company is best known for! Now with their own kitchen helmed by Food Consultant Gabriel Tan, get ready to meet Gudsht in their own right!
The space is industrial combined with the neon lights that make them distinctively 80s, a throwback to a certain millennial group that is looking for a place with great vibes and an amazing playlist. With a wall that, similar to the Refinery, is filled with different wines and alcohol, such as Roku Gin, the place is meant to be attuned to the brand identity that the Refinery set. But it is not the Refinery. In fact, with a menu filled with bar bites that are Japanese-influenced in flavours and well as presentation, Gudsht is meant for you to have a good time in a distinctive, Gudsht way.
It helps that to set them apart from the other outlet at The Refinery, Gudsht has released two exclusive bottled cocktails that’s only available at the Cathay Cineleisure outlet, Frooty Booty and Nacho Hombre, with flavour profiles that suggest dairy.
Trepidation aside, Frooty Booty and Nacho Hombre both turned out to be gorgeously made cocktails. Frooty Booty, touted as a throwback to the days when cool kids would mix Calpis and beer as pregame practice, Frooty Booty is made from Haku Voda, Froot Loop-infused yogurt, and Chuga Peach Soju. The result is a sweet, alcoholic milk blend that has no strong powdery or residual aftertaste, just a great cocktail that happens to have yogurt in it. Nacho Hombre, made from nacho-inflused Sauza Gold Tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave syrup, this cocktail has somehow managed to create a clear liquid that has the taste of smoky cheese while still working well with the pineapple and lime juice. Both are strong contenders to try in the Gudsht bottled cocktail range and are must trys.
