Little Farms Newest Opening In the East The Biggest One Ever!

Little Farms Newest Opening In the East The Biggest One Ever! Little Farms’ newest outlet is their largest one ever – 6,000 square feet of bistro, supermarket, butcher counter and bar!

Best of all, this outlet houses a full-service F&B bistro that will serve up beloved signatures including steaks, plant-based dishes, and fresh pasta, with drinks like draft beer, craft cocktails and a list of curated artisanal wines.

We speak to Little Farms' owner Joe Stevens and ask him to tell us what the new Little Farms outlet means for the Little Farms brand and what you can expect to see in the new outlet.

Tell us a little about what Little Farms newest outlet means for the brand.

Joe Stevens (JS): We’re really excited to now be in the East-we had received a lot of requests over the last few years from customers to open up a Little Farms in the East Coast.  Our neighbourhood in Katong is vibrant and people have been incredibly welcoming.  This is our largest and newest Little Farms.  Of course, a new outlet means offering more of our healthy and delicious, organic and all natural food (no nasties, ever) to more people in Singapore.  (Our mission is to help people live happier and healthier lives). We’re expanding the Little Farms community, both with customers and our team members. With more outlets, we're starting to achieve scale, which helps us as we strive to offer our customers the very best range of all natural and organic food at good value that we possibly can.

What can readers of Cuisine and Wine expect to get out of the new outlet?

JS: A warm, welcoming and positive environment, healthy and delicious food and genuine good service-in our grocery store, our coffee and smoothie island and our bistro restaurant.  Katong Point is our largest outlet yet, with a full range of high quality, super fresh produce, all natural meats, seafood, dairy and dairy alternatives, wine, bakery goods and a wide range of healthy and delicious grocery items.  We believe we offer the most extensive range of gluten-free, ketogenic, plant based and other specialty dietary items in the East.

Our Little Farms Bistro provides a full-service experience and slightly elevated menu compared with our Café at Valley Point, River Valley.  In addition to longstanding Little Farms customer brunch/lunch favourites such as our smashed avocado, our wagyu beef burger and our tempeh and tofu salad, our Bistro menu includes great new plant based dishes (designed by our chefs and inspired by Ottolenghi in London and Gjelina in Los Angeles), all natural steaks and delicious king salmon from New Zealand, among other dishes.  Our bistro also includes a bar with a fun and interesting range of cocktails, an extensive wine list and delicious bar bites.  We have an al fresco space and can create semi-private dining areas.

What are some unique aspects that people should look out for?

JS: We like to let our products do the talking, and all of our stores carry our curated collection of the best all natural and organic products that we can find.  We carefully source what we sell from an extensive range of artisanal producers and farms in Australia, Europe and elsewhere in the world.  We carefully manage our own supply chain to ensure maximum freshness for our customers.  Store favourites would be our selection of fresh produce, such our avocados, berries and veggies. We are also known for our fresh (never frozen) grass-fed meats, free range eggs, organic milk, plant-based meals, keto, gluten-free and sugar-free options for diet conscious eaters.  Many say we have the best sourdough bread in Singapore.

What do you hope diners get out of the experience at Little Farms?

JS: We hope that diners feel really comfortable and have an extraordinarily positive all around experience at Little Farms. Our bistro and cafe draw upon the highest quality and freshest natural and organic little Farms produce and other ingredients when preparing food for our customers.  Our chefs do their very best to make our fresh, healthy food absolutely delicious. Many of our customers enjoy our restaurant food and drinks before and after they visit our grocery markets.  Those dining in can taste some of our all natural and organic products that are used in many of the dishes and then head over to the retail side to purchase and bring them home to enjoy and share with loved ones.
