Chef Andy Gibb Passes Away Age 58
Cuisine & Wine Asia is deeply saddened to share about the passing of Chef Andy Gibb.
He was a beloved member of the Singapore Chefs’ Association, and had a deep love for the profession. He was instrumental in the development of the Singapore Junior Chefs Club, serving as Liaison Officer in the club since 2013 and promoted to Honorary Advisor for the club on behalf of Nanyang Polytechnic.
What he was best known to the chefs he met was his insatiable love for teaching and molding young professional chefs. Many can attest to the huge passion he had for hosting Singapore Junior Chefs Club events such as Running Chefs, Chef Townhall, and the Recruitment Drive in Nanyang Polytechnic to provide young chefs a platform to grow and interact.
“A Mate’s Mate,” writes Gary Miller in tribute to Chef Gibb. “ You gave so much to soo many, you will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.”
Should you have any memories to share about Chef Gibb, please do email
