2015 Coward & Black Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Margaret River Chocolate Company was first founded in 1999 by Patrick Coward and Martin Black, who later established vineyards in Margaret River and Swan Valley, named in the traditional European way by using the owners’ family names. In their vineyards in Swan Valley, visitors can taste a line of chocolate liqueurs in flavours such as original, hazelnut mousse, macchiato, and after dinner mint, as well as sample pairings of chocolates with a selection of the small-production wines, which are only available at their two cellar doors. The grassiness, minerality, and citron notes of the 2015 Coward & Black Semillon Sauvignon Blanc bring a freshness to the intense sweetness of the sea salted caramel. The caramel’s sweetness rounds out the rather austere and dry character of the Sem-Sav.
