Sign Language Restaurant

A restaurant recently launched in Canada gives diners a taste of dining deaf. In July, Signs; a restaurant in Toronto, created by entrepreneur Anjan Manikumar opened a 150-seat casual-dining restaurant staffed by deaf servers. The menu consists of icons that show how the ordering is done with the use of sign language. A cheat sheet is also available to assist customers with various remarks which indicate that they have special dietary concerns.
