MBS Loses Another Celebrity Restaurant The French haute-cuisine restaurant Guy Savoy located in the Marina Bay Sands is closing after undisclosed issues. The mutual decision between the management of MBS and Paris-based Chef Savoy will see the restaurant cease operations on 3rd February this year. The restaurant has received good reviews since its opening but with its high prices, many locals were turned away. The closure of Guy Savoy comes after the similar closure of the Spanish restaurant Santi in 2012. The space is set to be taken over by Chef David Thompson, famous for his Thai restaurant Nahm in London. He will be opening Long Chim, a Thai street food dining concept in June or July of this year.
