Food wasted because it does not look pretty

It happens to all us. We walk into the fruits and vegetable aisle of the supermarket, pick up the first produce, give it a little squeeze, inspect the colour and upon satisfaction, we put it into the basket. Consumers expect food to look pretty, it is a prerequisite for food to look good first then taste good later. As a result, the ugly ones get thrown into a bin and this causes food waste.
