Female Chefs Lead The James Beard Awards After a decade of silence, female chefs make a comeback at the James Beard Awards held on 2 May 2016 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Chef Suzanne Goin from Lucques won Outstanding Chef, while Chef Dahlia Narvaez from Osteria Mozza bagged the title of Outstanding Pastry Chef. The Rising Star Chef award went to Chef Daniela Soto-Innes, who oversees the day-to-day cooking at the Mexican chef Enrique Olvera’s New York City restaurant Cosme.
