Gudsht For World Mental Health Day, Releases New Cocktail Bundle for Your Self-Care Needs

Gudsht For World Mental Health Day, Releases New Cocktail Bundle for Your Self-Care Needs World Mental Health Day is coming up this weekend on the 10th October, and to help commemorate this, Singapore’s OG bottled cocktail label GudSht has teamed up with Safe Space to launch two new cocktails in a bid to get people talking more about mental health.

Aptly named Dope-amine and SerotoGin (the two major neurotransmitters that affect everything from emotions and mood to cognition and memory), the GudSht x Safe Space range of cocktails also includes a special edition of Unicorn Barf, an old favourite.

10% of the proceeds will be donated to the local mental health services provider, Safe Space, which offers both online and in-person counselling and therapy to anyone seeking professional help, advice, or even just a safe space to vent.

Both drinks are great additions to the Gudsht family of cocktails: GudSht’s Dope-amine is a high-octane blend of Roku Gin, Peach Bitters, Plum Bitters, Honey Water, Lemon Juice, and Blue Lagoon Syrup with a respectable but moderate ABV of 10%. SerotoGin is the mellower, more cerebral of the two. Embodying zen and tranquillity, SerotoGin was made for chill evenings after a yoga class, with Netflix on the TV and your favourite meal dabao’d in front of you; or even a light heart-to-heart talk with a trusted friend. Made of Roku Gin, Pineapple Juice, Grapefruit Bitters, Vanilla Syrup and Osmanthus Syrup, SerotoGin has a milder 8.5% ABV, with soothing tropical notes of pineapple and grapefruit accompanied by the calming presence of vanilla and osmanthus.

Both drinks are sweet and perfect for days where you need a boost of that little self-care, whatever you may need to get through the day, especially in the wake of the newest restrictions imposed by the pandemic. We like the SerotoGin more in comparison to Dope-amine: the sweetness of the pineapple juice was tempered with the vanilla syrup and gin, resulting in a more enjoyable ride. Then again, perhaps we all need that little bit of serotonin, just so we can get through the night in a more peaceful state of mind.

“The pandemic has been challenging in more ways than one for many of us. While it has hit businesses like ours hard, its impact on people’s mental well-being needs to be talked about even more. Younger Singaporeans have been increasingly open about discussing mental health but there are still deeply entrenched stigmas attached to mental illness and mental health,” said Turaiya Noor, Creative Cat at GudSht. “To mark World Mental Health Day, an international day for mental health awareness and advocacy against social stigma, we came up with two new cocktails, Dope-amine and SerotoGin. We’re also pledging 10% of all sales proceeds of these cocktails to Safe Space and are proud to be able to support Safe Space in their mission to reduce stigma around mental health services and make them more accessible.”
The GudSht x Safe Space creations of Dope-amine and SerotoGin will be available from 1 to 31 October on GudSht’s online store at only $12 for the 120ml bottle size and $28 for the 300ml. They are also available together with Unicorn Barf as a 3-bottle bundle at $39 for all 3 120ml cocktails, and $79 for a set of 3 300ml bottles. You can also find them for sale on Deliveroo, GrabMart and Oddle!
