2011 Flooded Gum Vineyard Cassiodorus Cabernet Sauvignon Housed in a former marine service workshop in Fremantle, Bread in Common is a bakery-cum-restaurant that also sells sweets, amazing wines, and homemade preserves. The bread are so good, we can’t stop eating them. Our attention is only broken briefly when server David Dearstyne brings out the 2011 Flooded Gum Vineyard Cassiodorus Cabernet Sauvignon. Perhaps it is because the grapes are cane cut, the flavours are intensified, resulting in a wine that reminds me of premier cru Bordeaux – inky, rich, velvety, complex, long.
