Mooncakes, mooncakes, mooncakes and more mooncakes! With mid-autumn festival approaching, you will be able to find mooncakes everywhere! But how often will find unique flavours like chendol, salted egg yolk or even the savoury roast duck? Here are some places that are serving up some crazy flavours that you will not be able to find elsewhere.

1. Yan Ting at The St. Regis Singapore



Making its debut at Yan Ting at The St. Regis Singapore is the chendol paste with melon seeds snow skin mooncake (SGD76 for box of 8). Wrapped in a visually appealing jade-marbled skin, this locally inspired chendol mooncake features lotus paste exuding robust flavours of aromatic coconut and gula melaka, complete with bits of melon seeds for a wonderful crunch.

2. Grand Shanghai



In celebration of the mid-autumn festival, Grand Shanghai unveils an exquisite assortment of limited-edition mooncakes ahead of its highly-anticipated reopening in September 2019. The decadent confections will come in six varieties with a mix of classic and new flavours, including a spin on the local Shanghainese style, lava egg custard with salted egg yolk (SGD68 for box of 6). This new flavour combines the fragrant, creamy custard with crisp pastry in one indulgent mouthful.

3. Kam’s Roast



Here’s a mooncake flavour you’ve never heard of before – roast duck. The Kam’s roast assorted nuts with roast duck mooncake (SGD68 for box of 4) will feature a beautiful marriage of assorted nuts including walnut, sesame seeds, almond, melon seed and olive seeds to add mild sweetness to the savoury punch of Kam’s roast goose’s Michelin-quality signature duck. Along with this unique flavour, the Michelin-starred restaurant will also present Kam’s roast red bean orange peel mooncake (SGD68 for box of 4) – made of silky-smooth top-quality red bean paste generously layered with 23-year aged premium orange peels. The fragrant peels elevate the creamy and rich filling with their citrusy sweetness and invigorating zest.

These mooncakes will be available in Kam’s Roast’s outlets at Pacific Plaza and Jewel Changi Airport.
