This year’s World Gourmet Summit opened to wide aplomb, as guests from the various industries gathered to One Farrer Hotel to celebrate the best of gourmet cuisine, all while educating the public on the importance of sustainability and environmental impact.
Guests dined on hors d'oeuvres served by partner restaurants and beverage partners that showcased the best of what they had to offer, with some letting International Masterchefs feature some of the cuisine that they are best known for. Highlights included International Masterchef Soma Oroszki and Gourmet Specialist Csaba Harmath serving up Hungarian cuisine together with hosting Chef Mirko Vinci and Chef Adi Hadean from Romania showcasing the best of Romanian cuisine with hosting Chef Matteo Ponti of Forlino.
The event also featured the Marine Stewardship Council educating the importance of sustainable seafood, all while working together with chefs such as Chef Kenny Yeo of Arbora Hilltop Dining and Chef Javed Ahamed of Punjab Grill to feature the best of sustainably-sourced seafood.
Hundreds of guests arrived at the reception, hungry to learn, and left satiated with knowledge, all while indulging in the best of gastronomy, and it was a welcoming reception for visitors invited to Singapore’s sunny shores while learning about the importance of sustainable and environmental impact in the food and beverage industry.
