Johnnie Walker Releases Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen Last year, Johnnie Walker released the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora, both were described to be an 'exciting exploration of flavour'. This year, Master Blender of Johnnie Walker, Mr. Jim Beveridge and his team of expert blenders released the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and the Rare Port Ellen. Mr Beveridge comments, "These whiskies deliver a fascinating glimpse into another world, and explores the unique, imimitable character of whiskies".

The new Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost is second in the series of limited edition and award-winning Johnnie Walker Blue Label. Mr Beveridge has recaptured the perfect balance of unique characteristics with the Port Ellen. Mr Beveridge explains, "The 'Ghost' whiskies from Caledonian and Carsebridge add layers of creamy, vanilla-like sweetness whilst rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban deliver rolling waves of waxy citrus, rich malt and tropical fruit flavours - all perfectly balanced by the distinctive maritime smokiness of Port Ellen tthat lingers in the long and warming finish".
