6 Ways To Impress Your Valentine This Valentine’s Day, foodpanda, a food delivery service company, spoke to over 150 Singaporeans to find out what they look forward to. Here are insights, coupled with suggestions, for you to act on it and impress your beloved. Who knows where all of the good impression might lead to at the end of the day?

1. Forget it not
Dear men, you don’t just forget your keys and wallet, you also have twice the tendency to forget about Valentine’s Day compared to women. If you did, and your sugar baby did find out, head on down to Stellar at 1-Altitude to say sorry and the three magic words. Coax her right back to your loving arms with a romantic sunset aperitivo at the rooftop deck which boasts magnificent views of Singapore. Then, indulge together in a San Valentino Degustation menu created by executive chef Christopher Millar. Highlights include sevruga caviar with sea urchin, fennel and cucumber; and gamberi prawn carbonara with parmesan cream, soft poached egg yolk and bacon ash.

Available on 12, 13, 14 February 2016
The San Valentino six-course dinner and dessert with petit fours and one glass of MOET is priced at S$200++ per person
For reservations, contact reservations@1-altitude.com

2. Location, location, location
MBS has claimed the top spot for being the most romantic place in Singapore. Coming in behind would be home sweet home. But here’s a suggestion we reckon it would take your lovely night to new heights: how about surprising your beloved with a home away from home staycation? Moments of love package at Mandarin Oriental offers a one-night accommodation at the Marina Bay View room that comes with champagne, chocolate pralines and a pair of matching bathrobes and plush towels embellished with your names. It also includes a five-course dinner at Dolce Vita, a suite romance spa treatment, and more.

Available exclusively on 14 February 2016
Rooms start at S$3800 for double occupancy

3. Eye love you
Ah yes, who can deny the power of eye contact? Singaporeans consider gazing into each other’s eyes over dinner a very romantic thing to do. If you can gaze at each other all night, go ahead. If not, take occasional breaks and feast your eyes on an elegant Valentine’s Day cheese and wine pairing platter at Catalunya. It offers five artisanal Spanish cheeses from the northern, southern, eastern, western, and central Spain. Pair it with three Spanish wines which include the highly rated Cvne Imperial Reserva to round it off nicely.

Available till 14 February 2016

4. Get in the mood for food
As a foodie country, it is no surprise that more than 75% of participants prioritised food and atmosphere over everything else, including presents. Now what if you can have the best of both worlds? At Kinki, you can easily slip into the mood for food and love with its menu offerings and intimate atmosphere. Plus, when you spend a minimum of S$200, and cupid decided to shoot you with a lucky arrow, you could be walking away with prizes (and kisses) that include one set of Choo Yilin’s Cherry Blossom Jade Donut necklace and ring (worth S$1,476).

Available on 13 February 2016

5. Mama mia, oishi
Italian and Japanese cuisines are highly favoured by Singaporean women. Fellows, if you’re looking for a place to make your lady amore you more, head on down to one of Jamie’s Italian outlets. It’s a place where you can never go wrong. Opt for the three-course meal that includes a glass of Porta Leone pink Prosecco upon arrival and a digestif at the end of the meal. Main courses include a choice of Norwegian Salmon in a saffron and mascarpone sauce with roast potatoes and asparagus; Jamie’s homemade Truffle tagliatelle tossed in rich truffle butter or a Sirloin steak served with crispy sage and a peppery rocket salad. An additional wine pairing option is also available.

Available till 14 February 2016
Three-course menu is priced at S$188++ per couple
